Re: The end of The Seaside Arcade?
People are walking blindly into a cashless society. If this new world order get their way, everything you have will be sat digitally on their computers. You will have no backup when the technology fails, no spare cash at home or in your wallets, no more living off grid, no more cash in hand jobs. Everything you "receive" or earn will be registered and if they think it necessary taxed.
Let's take it a few years down the line, and they say there is an emergency and they don't want you to travel. All they have to do is re program your digital money so it can only be spent within 5 miles of your home, so can't buy petrol, can't buy bus or train tickets. You won't be able to travel, and there will be nowhere to go to complain, only online conversing with an AI chat bot and its pre-programmed answers (good luck with that). People need to start thinking it through. It sounds far-fetched but it's happening all over the Western world right now.
Get yourself to the cash point and pay with cash whenever you can. They can only take it away if we are too lazy to fight them.

The next generation will not know about ...
The tooth fairy
Birthday cards with a £10 note inside
Uncles slipping cash into surprised young hands
Car boot sales
Pocket money (debit cards allowed from 11 yrs)
Poppy day
Running to the shops for your mum and keeping the change
For sale classified local adverts
... and the list goes on.
