Founded by Peter Schneider, the collection contains 1500 coin-op machines from 1870 to 2007. As the museum is not big enough to show them all at the same time, the exhibits rotate and returning visitors will enjoy new machines every visit.

The 'novelty-orium' opened September, 2019, in the free interactive exhibition area, comprising 22 fun vintage machines and novelty amusements dating from the early 1900s - 1940s. Games include working models, a beach-themed Carousel, a Gypsy Fortune, Bullion and Shoot. The machines can be played for £2 for ten tokens.
