Hawtins Ltd., proprietor Frank Hawtin, originally traded from 19 Argyle Rd., Blackpool before establishing a large factory at Preston New Rd., Blackpool. Ernest William Hawtin (born 1903), brother of Frank and Percy, produced most of the designs, including the Clutching Hand.
